    Amazon hand tool recommendations

I used to feel the same way about Apex tool group. When they’re buying US companies and shutting them down. But I figure if they were doing good they wouldn’t have been for sale in the first place.. My go for sockets and wrenches has been Wright Tool. And have been getting more. USA Tekton...

    Amazon hand tool recommendations

I don’t do heavy equipment repair anymore. The new company I work for gave me some tools.. One of the brands is Dura tech tools. I think they are owned by the same company that bought SK tools. I haven’t used them a whole lot, but they seem fine. I like using my own stuff. I have them in a go...

    Milwaukee M12 Impact Wrench (Ratchet)

I have the Rigid version of it. They work well when I was working on light rail. You may check out the Rigid ones and you can get an adapter for your Milwaukee18 V batteries. Or if you catch them on sale, sometimes they will be reduced down to what the tool only is at Home Depot. If you check...

Which cordless tool brand is going to have the longest production life?

I have had pretty good luck with Ridgid. They have a subcompact line that has replaced some of my M12 stuff. They have a lifetime warranty on the batteries and tool when you register them on the website. The weather do occur is if your battery or charger have an issue fill out an online form and...

SK made in US x-frame wrenches worth it?

I have an older sae set when they first came out that stamped made in USA. I have a newer metric set from Lowe’s that were on clearance they don’t have a USA stamp on them. I liked it when I first got them, but for daily use, they did not last long.

I have had good luck with Ridgid. Make sure you register the tools and batteries on Ridgids website. I would get the brushless ones though.

    Metric Wrenches--USA or other?

Wright is probably my favorite wrenches and sockets. I tried to get them when I can.. Epstein's is an excellent place to get them. Great family own company. Zoro is a good place for Wright you can always get a 15 to 20% off with Zoro from time to time. I think Wright itself is one of the last...

What tools have you recently gotten past TSA in your carry on baggage?

I live in Asheville North Carolina but work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I bought a few of the Milwaukee impact socket sets. I asked TSA in Asheville if it was OK when I was going back one week to be on a carry-on. They told me as long as it’s under 6 inches. They did a additional screening to it...

Some of the stuff seems to be still higher than when it was years ago. That inverter when it first came out for the same kit was. 79. Long time ago when I first worked in aviation, I go through a cordless drill usually once a year. At that time, the best ones or Makita.. I got Ridgid when I...
