MY 2009 JCW MINI Cooper rear (Boot?) badge was showing some sun damage to the red inlay paint... Used some dental floss to saw through the adhesive tape to remove the badge Had a bottle of Tamiya Italian Red lacquer I used for some inlay paint work... I just realized all the black inlay...

1947 Delta 12" Disc Sander Restoration

It's also known as a motor shaft condom... :dunno: My RI motor has the double shaft, but it's of an older vintage that doesn't have the screw holes to attach the "condom"... Before the condom, the early designers came up with a different form of protection (Far right of the motor image)... So...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Not much to it really... I followed this Video for the setup and the making of the solution... I found it easier to use my ultrasonic cleaner for temperature control of the solution and removal of the gas bubble that can interfere with the plating finish... My plating solution goes into a glass...

1947 Delta 12" Disc Sander Restoration

Mine was loaded with many years of sawdust... I first blew all the loose sawdust particles out of the stator as best I could... There was a lot of dust that came out... I then used a couple of cans of CRC Lectra-Motive.. Worked great and no risk of damage to the wire insulation... Got it clean...

Very nice results, I've wanted to try zinc plating... Care to share your formula and procedure?... 1947 Delta 12" Disc Sander Restoration

Mine had a RI motor, and I was able to carefully grind down the drive screw heads and then used a punch to drive the stem towards the inside... Here's a photo where you can see open areas between the stator and the motor shell that let the drive screw drop out... I then tapped the holes and used...

Had to get out my VOM this afternoon... Long story short... My wife had both knees replaced a year ago and is now ready to step up her exercise program... Electronics repair as a hobby

Four years after I sold my shop, the new owner called me about a problem with the 12 foot hydraulic shear not working... The shear was made sometime in the 60's and control boards were no longer available... He ran out of ideas after contacting a few people that wanted nothing to do with trying...

    Heavy-Duty Fabric Garden Hose

I have the Zero-G hoses and they work fine with my pressure washer... City water pressure keeps it fully pressured while running the washer... I'm guessing if a high GPH pressure washer is used, it would need to consume more GPH than what's supplied by the city?
