    UHMV for T-slots

Awesome idea! I'm going to steal this for sure. You keep writing UHMV. I think you mean UHMW; ultra high molecular weight polyethylene [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Ridgid 14" Bandsaw Wheel

Re: Ridgid 14" Bandsaw Wheel Can you have a welder put the broken pieces back in or fill it? Then file it back into shape. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Welder advice

You're gonna run into problems if you extend the output leads. Huge losses if you go 100' (200 out and back) . The current on the input is much lower. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

How to fix a stripped nut

Not sure how thick the surrounding metal is that you're dealing with. When the footpeg bolt hole failed on my 4-wheeler, I filed out the surrounding material and pressed the hex side of a flanged nut with the correct M10-1.5 thread into the enlarged hole. With the the flange providing some...

Help finding a specialty bolt (plain steel)

McmasterCarr.com Or, if you find one the right diam but longer, cut it and rethread it. Don't need a lathe, just clamp a die in a vise and turn the bolt with a wrench if you don't have a tap and die set Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Welding help, please?

Might want to try these 1/16" 7014 rods. They strike up super easy and run at only 40-50 amps and I find that 7014s give me the cleanest, easy to control puddle of any rod I've ever tried. I'm not real experienced, just a hobbiest welder so take my advice for what it's worth (very little). But...

Newbie and 10 yr old son with a drill problem

The vise might mar the chuck, but yuo could try wrapping it in a rag before clamping in a vise. Or you might try getting a piece of large round stock and grinding some flats to fit in the chuck. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Are welding/ oxy tanks expensive? For welding?

I picked up a couple of small cylinders from a retiring plumber (20cf and 40cf) for cheap. One was CO2, the other refrigerant. AllGas swapped them to an 80cf argon tank for me. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Convert 1/4 BSP to 1/4 NPT

I would think that if the thread pitch and diam are is the same, it seems to me; 1) chasing a 55* groove with a 60* groove would blunt the top of the threads slightly 2) chasing a 60* groove with a 55* groove would dig the trough slightly deeper. If the pitch is not the same, it won't work...
