A toolbox is a toolbox. If you like the first one and it gets the job done just buy that one. If you can't get past the cosmetics just buy the matco one.

What if snap on decided to release them again but along side of the instincts. Then people could have the best of both worlds.

I am just starting out as a mechanic and I counted all the stuff in my box and it's around $1100. His is extremely low as far as some people are concerned but the shop I work at has all the specialty tools I need to work on cars. The most expensive stuff is obviously my snap on wrenches and sockets.

I'd say a good screwdriver/pry bar so you can use it for both.

To be honest I'd probably still buy snap on but it'd be used stuff off eBay and pawn shops where it is made inthe USA. Some things were many to be made here.

My snap on guy gave a me the new dual 80 ratchet with a set of deep sockets I bought. Best thing he could have ever done. I am sold on those now, tomorrow when comes I'll buy another. Wrenches I really like the mac knuckle savers. Pry bars, extensions, and other stuff craftsman gets the job...

If they work I'd say you got a good deal there.
