Oh and I guess also sorta new. I took the 52” wide craftsman roll chest. Cut/drilled out the middle parts and welded the drawers into 48” wide, full width drawers. Loving the setup.

I finally started getting my newish Stahlwille wrenches organized. I was doing foam but it took up too much space. Took a piece of 3” PVC, ripped it in half, then made wrench slots. I think it does the job ok. Kinda messy to make but the price is right! The full chrome sets are wright 6-24mm...

New M12 1/4“ Hex Impact coming soon?

I personally have the Surge 1/4 impact driver. I absolutely enjoy using it. I simply purchased 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch socket adapters from Makita for it. I can take care of any underhood, underdash or general houshold needs with this one tool. It has been great and has plenty of power for...

Craftsman is filling out a second shift! (Ft. Worth)

This bodes well. Hoping to see some new USA craftsman sooner rather than later. Also used to have well over 100 positions listed. Down to 36 total and only about 20 have to do manufacturing or supply chain. https://www.indeed.com/m/jobs?q=stanley black and decker&l=Fort Worth...

If you only had money to buy one set of combo wrenches...

Regular and Wright chrome or snap on chrome. Wright: new, snap on: used. But that is just me. edit: my dads snap on are longer and lighter. Good for fast wrenching, not a ton of torque. Wrights are hefty and way more comfort for breaking stuff loose and pulling hard even on the open ends.

    Do I need a 3/4” Wright 6400 ratchet?

Mark would you say a long handle (24” or so) 1/2” is worth it too?

    Do I need a 3/4” Wright 6400 ratchet?

GJ, OK, so I am getting a complete ratchet set together. Debating as to whether 3/4” drive is something I should do. 1/2 drive, USA, 24” ratchets are minimum $180. I can get the Wright 6400 and reduce it to 1/2” if need be for $120. Just trying to decide the upper size limit of my tool set. I’m...

    Wright tool thread

Bringing back the Wright Tool thread. Finally completed my Foam Fit Tools Wright insert. 6mm to 24mm. I custom routed the top for 4mm to 13mm Kobalt USA ignition combo wrenches as well. Could not be any happier with the heft, quality and feel of this Wright set. SAE is next.

How important is country of origin to you?

You made my point. Free peoples COO. Just please avoid the Commie slaver ****. They don’t have nets around their manufacturing facilities to catch loose tools. It is to catch slave labor workers trying to commit suicide. (Don’t believe me, look it up!) Taiwan discs I bet are $200. No nets there 😉
