Can someone help me understand the differences in the lobtex adjustable wrench line? There seems to be a lot of overlap https://www.lobtex.co.jp/english/products/tabid/152/catid/82/pcatid/80/Default.aspx Also, where can I buy them in the US? This is the only place that pops up...

Why aren’t 6 point ratcheting wrenches more popular?

I meant to compliment them. Those tekton look nice. I see gearwrench has double box end flex with no protrusion either

Why aren’t 6 point ratcheting wrenches more popular?

I figured if I get both the astro nano sockets set and it's associated ratchet wrench, the corresponding ratchet wrench set shouldn't be be duplicating the same function. How close in thickness is a nano socket in its ratchet wrench vs the protrusion from the matco/mountain/icon?

Why aren’t 6 point ratcheting wrenches more popular?

What's a good set of ratcheting wrenches to go with astro nano sockets? Does anyone make double box end flex ratchet wrenches that don't have the little protrusion like the mountain/matco/icon?

    New adjustable wrenches

Any real differences between the current irega and bahco wrenches? I should probably get one of the giant jaw Fujiya for undersink work

Which sizes ratchets and sockets for general handy manning household work?

How are these sockets both metric and sae? Slop in the fit allows it?

What are your most and least used 1/4 drive sockets for car work

Do you mean the universal adapter or a whole set of universal sockets? My dad's Craftsman set in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2" didn't even come with a 1/4" ratchet - just a spinner handle and a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter. I was so excited to get a 1/4" Craftsman ratchet for it years later, and boy did it feel janky...

    Assembling proto socket rails, metal

Yeah, I remember getting my first set of Williams sockets which came with these rails. They're either too right and you gotta fight the sockets on and off, or they're loose and sockets fly off. I had to pry my 1/4 sockets off their rails. Immediately gave them away to someone who didn't hate...

Bahco Extra Wide Adjustable Wrenches - any downsides?

Thanks. I might start with that 8" Proto and add a 6" and 10"/12" later - maybe in extra wide jaw configurations - hard to buy tools without a use case, but a feel like an adjustable is one of those "must haves"

Bahco Extra Wide Adjustable Wrenches - any downsides?

I was thinking of https://www.zoro.com/bahco-bahco-wide-mouth-adjustable-wrench-6-bah9029rus/i/G7624569/ and https://www.zoro.com/bahco-bahco-black-x-wide-adjustable-wrench-ergo-10-9033-r-us/i/G7638386/ but the premium for the wide opening on the 10" is a lot (The standard 10" is like $30-35)

Bahco Extra Wide Adjustable Wrenches - any downsides?

Good to know about the hex pipe wrenches. I always wanted to know the proper tools for tightening toilet valves. Every plumber just uses channel locks and the teeth marks bother me a lot. I ended up tightened the faucet with an 8" husky adjustable I had borrowed from work, but way too long for...

Bahco Extra Wide Adjustable Wrenches - any downsides?

I need a new 6" & 10" adjustable wrenches and I figured I'd go with Bahco. I see that they offer extra wide jaws, and that would have been nice to have when I was tightening my kitchen faucet. Are there any downsides besides the price? (The 10" is pricey) I'm guessing if I'm using an adjustable...
