    what length to use for pegboard ?

    1/4 peg board + 3/4 inch 1x2 + 1/2 drywall leaves you with 1 inch of screw going into the studs if you use 2 1/2 inch screws. I have always felt that the taper end of the screw does not secure much so this leaves you with less than an inch to secure it to the stubs. Give me 3 inch coarse thread...

    Curb on monolithic slab

    I have used one row of blocks many times and built on top of that. I use L -shaped 1/2 anchor bolts and cement them into the blocks. This is used to anchor the wall to the block.

    Drywall walls or ceiling first?

    If your local home depot store has a rental department you might want to get a drywall lift to lift and position your sheetrock to the ceiling joists. A definite back saver.

    Home shop machinist magazine - most any wood working magazine has the 20% off coupons in them. Also alot of stores are not accepting copies anymore. At least thats what is going on here in Florida
