Refrigerator already has a thermostat, the garage kit is a heater that makes it kick on periodically allowing the freezer to remain frozen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had the same issue with mine and added a garage kit to it. No issues since. The freezer only runs when the refrigerator runs and in colder climates the refrigerator doesn’t run as much causing the freezer temp to rise to the same temp as the refrigerator thus defrosting everything. The garage...
