You said your ceiling height was 10'. Is it exactly ten feet or slightly less due to the lumber I have a 9'9" ceiling height and I'm looking in to 4 post lifts for storage. What brand is your lift and how do you like it?

Very nice garage, and I think the price is very fair too. As for insulating the upper part of the wall, you could probably use the large, wide insulation normally used in metal buildings. It looks like it would be the right size if rolled out horizontally. The same would be used on the ceiling...

I don't know a thing about how to do it, but in the new fire station that I work in, they had the concrete floor polished and stained black. It's OK and hold up to the engines parking and driving on them. What I don't like is that the polishing left the floor wavy looking compared to how it was...

I work for a department that has a 1923 Stutz. We plan to restore it. I'll probably be dead and gone before it happens.

Hey, great idea. I might do this to some shelving units I have just to keep some dust off stuff. I live right next to a field and the dirt blows in all over everything. I am also one of the "frugile" ones on this board. I have a bunch of recycled cabinets and shelves already in use.

Very nice. I wish I had a clean garage like that. Right now both of mine are packed with project cars, parts and tools/equipment. Someday I'd be happy with an old TV haning on the wall over a sturdy wooden bench that I could use to work on smaller stuff, hide from the wife and have a beer or two.
