    1/2" flex-head torque wrenches

Mac & Snap-on made 1/2" micrometer click adjust flex-head torque wrenches in the past. Would anyone have their respective parts numbers?

    Motorcycle tools

To carry on the motorcycle, I aim to get an inexpensive compact ratchet socket set and I am gravitating to a 3/8” drive set from HF. It’s also nice to have a torque wrench as well but I don’t want too much weight or bulk. My question is, can a ratcheting torque wrench take the place of a ratchet?

    Long Ball Hex

Thanks to all for your inputs and especially Mike for his graphic. I borrowed a SO flare socket & a ball hex driver from a good friend. Things that I learned: 1) The the passing lamps adjustment must have been designed by Senile Generals ... what a laborious chore! 2) The flare socket is a "one...

    Long Ball Hex

There's not too much clearance on the inboard screw. I couldn't see how a regular hex key (even the short end) could torque it.

    Long Ball Hex

Yes, that is why I wonder if paying the extra buck up front for an SK or SO will provide more tool longevity against breakage & rounding, and thus more value over the long term. Or, are they gonna break & round no matter what?, in which case I'll get only one needed piece from Harbor Freight.

    Long Ball Hex

Hi everyone. Need you inputs regarding 5/32” Long Ball Hex, for adjusting Harley passing lamps: 1. 3/8” Socket driver vs. screwdriver or T-handle? 2. Individual piece vs. a set? 3. Snap-On vs. SK, - or - any other good brands, (worried that with a cheap brand the ball head may round/break off...

On a Harley: Flare Nut Crowfoot vs. Socket?

Thanks, Mike Another question for you: is the lamp adjustable only in the horizontal plane?, or will the socket and motion pro tool allow me to adjust it in the vertical plane as well?

On a Harley: Flare Nut Crowfoot vs. Socket?

I looked at the motion pro but I'm puzzled. It looks like a flat flare wrench so I cannot understand how that will fit in a place that a crowfoot won't. BTW - '99 FLHTCUI

On a Harley: Flare Nut Crowfoot vs. Socket?

No, it can't, but maybe the clearance issue is the reason for using a socket over a crowfoot. Thanks PS - on a HD forum someone answered the question: The nut is a bit recessed in the mount, the socket is needed for this.

    Flex-Head Torque Wrench

Hi. I just went through a similar experience, as my plethora of posts will attest. Everyone one the board was helpful in my quest. I settled on flex head ratcheting torque wrenches over fixed ratcheting, and I am very well pleased with the decision. Secondly, I went with Snap on for the 3/8"...

On a Harley: Flare Nut Crowfoot vs. Socket?

For spot light adjustment which is complicated by a wire on the nut, the Harley manual recommends using a Snap-On 9/16", 6-Point, Flare Nut Socket, (FRX181). See: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?item_ID=2122&group_ID=262 What is the downside of using a 9/16" 6-pt Flare Nut Crowfoot...

    1/2" drive flex torque wrench

My preferred type over split beam. Electronics are nice but eat batteries. Just like the adjustable click type the most and the flexible head is a very nice feature.

    1/2" drive flex torque wrench

Yes, the Techwrench Electronic & Split Beam torque wrenches have flex heads. Thanks. Now, let me re-phrase the initial question: Can you name any others micrometer adjustable click type, 1/2" drive, flexible head, ratcheting torque wrenches than the ones listed above?
