    A diamond in the rough...

It was up high near the flex joint of the ratchet.2011 date code I think. The joint was a little loose on the FLF80 but that was a simple fix.I got a very nice deal on both. I still think I'd take my Matco locking flex over the Snap On but don't consider the locking style inferior on the...

    A diamond in the rough...

Well not really. But I found this FLF80 tucked away on the Snap-on truck today along with a FHX80. On a side note, could not tell any difference between the feel of the USA stamped dual 80 compared to my Chinese FHL80 :lol_hitti

    Gearwrench Ratchet

From what reviews I've seen they've all been great. Some others prefer the 84t ratchets.I'd like to get a set of 120xp flexheads but would have to sell some other ratchets to make room in the drawer.lol.

Flank drive vs. Flank drive plus

I've got a set of Flank drive plus wrenches I use mostly all the time.I don't work on stuff for appearances so there are few bolts I'm concerned about damaging.I do have a set of older Craftsman Professionals with the smooth open end for when some other situation might arise I shouldn't use the...

Looking to replace my MAC sockets, what to buy?

Define not fitting good? And are the MAC sockets USA made? My new Snap on sockets don't fight tight on the bolt head, there is a little wiggle room.

Lobster Claws Don't Come From China

I tried to explain awhile back that the USA crossforce wrenches also had the larger open end, although in that picture they are not as apparent as the stubby or new full polish combo wrenches.

    New GearWrench long ratchets

It would be nice.I'm glad I didn't jump on the TLL72 or the Matco AFR88T because the GW seems to be my next purchase.lol.The 17" fixed head 1/2 drive might not be a bad purchase either.

    New GearWrench long ratchets

They are compatible with the Matco 60/88 kits,Armstrong 60/88 kits, and the other Gearwrench 60/84s except the 120xp.Maybe the Craftsman premium 84 kit,I don't remember.

From the GearWrench Facebook page today: Some exciting product news from GearWrench - we just announced the 84-Tooth Long Handle Ratchet. The handle on the new ratchets is over 25 percent longer than standard ratchets offering increased reach and greater leverage, making it easy for technicians...

    Fine tooth ratchets

I've got the Snap on dual 80s,Carlyle 90 tooth,Gearwrench 60 tooth, and Matco 88s and my Snap on F80 still feels the best and has the least amount of back drag in my opinion among the others in 3/8 drive.

Who makes the best quick-release ratchet?

I have a Napa Carlyle R38QR that was a warranty replacement for a older Napa ratchet.I actually like it quite a bit for just being a simple cheap ratchet.60 tooth action, pretty smooth really. It's the only quick release ratchet I own.Available at your local Napa store for around $30.

I have a gently used 3/8 drive Proto spinflex ratchet for sale.Same thing as what MAC sells.Proto has discontinued them but MAC still carries them for $152.99. Bought it a few months ago but I'm just not a fan of these ratchets so I'm making room in my toolbox.30 tooth gear, ball detent set...
