Found a local FB seller with this Reed 204. $60 Seems mostly okay but looks like someone floated a pond of brass into it. Feb/1940 (?) Thanks for looking.

Cools stuff. When I see older advertising I can't help seeing a scene/world as depicted in the cable series Mad Men. It helps me understand the discrepancies.

How much mushrooming is too much? I understand the character of hard work. but this seems excessive. Although, maybe I just don't work as hard as I thought. Proto 1431G - $ 0.00

    Portable Band Saw Stand

Mine worked straight out of the box when paired to my Dewalt DWM120. It took a little bit to mount but it is solid and cuts true. The switch trigger needs to be flipped over with the Dewalt and it sometimes will not go full power, (variable speed trigger) but that is an easy fix and 90% of full...

Equivalent to Milwaukee type G grease

Wonderful. Thank you for that clarification. The Milwaukee 6230 Deep Cut Band saw asks for NLGI 1 (one) Both type G and type Y are NLGI 1 so I suppose it should work just fine. In fact, I bet any lithium or moly NLGI 1 would work fine. Many are quite a bit less expensive than the Milwaukee or...

Equivalent to Milwaukee type G grease

Thanks for the reply. According to the most recent Milwaukee documentation, all applications that require type G grease still do. There is no superseded number or recommendation for that. So, I tried out that paint suggested by @drs3317 on one of my 1/2hp blocks (1981) and it looks pretty good. The original is more of a grey but who knows if it was always like that. On my 1/3hp round-top block (1974) I used the other suggested color for the guards. I picked up the two for...
