    Garage door gutters/sewer grates?

Maybe I'm not getting the terminology right here, but I've been to all the major places that sell rain gutter/weeping tile/water pipe etc. and no one even knows what I'm talking about. Since I can't have a floor drain in my slab, I want to have a grate along the front of the garage door so I...

    Worst tool ever produced?

This thing is garbage, unless it's actual purpose was to round off nuts and bolts. Yeah it's quick to adjust, too bad the notches are set to be on either side of every standard known to man: http://www.globalindustrial.ca/p/tools/Pliers-Vise/Pliers1/sets-irwin-vise-grip-2078717

who parks their daily driver under a 4 post lift?

Depending what brand of lift you have, you can get slide in drip trays, even if your upper car is not leaking anything, condensation off the block can drip all sorts of **** on your paint.

    Testing an electric stove

Did you check for internal fuses in the oven? Sometimes they are under the cover on top of the controls.

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

    Thanks, something else to consider.

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

Do you know if they just doubled up on the conductors in the lugs on the meter base or were there two sets of lugs? I know on my panel the 00 wire is so thick it barely fits in the lugs, so there's no room for another wire, otherwise I would probably just go off that, I'm not sure what it looks...

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

I guess alternatively I could leave my house panel in place, split the 00 wire coming off my meter into a panel and split it 100A/60A or 100/100. I'd have to get the meter pulled for that of course. Has anyone seen a box that would provide a 200A shutoff and split the feed two ways without...

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

I have a 12x12 and some connectors, I'll have to see if I can find these Polaris connectors anywhere. I'd still rather have a rigid terminal block but I guess it's only temporary anyway.

Best oil pan for oil changes

I use 10L rectangular water jugs with the side cut out of them. You get a much biger target than those Blitz pans. Unscrew the cap and it's easy to tip into your waste oil barrel. I'd probably do the same with a gas jerry can if I needed something a little more durable.

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

The problem is that my panel is obsolete Canadian ITE Blue Line and I can't find a 60 or 70A for it, if one ever even existed. Home depot has a compatible 40A for $90, but that's it. I don't want to tear the house panel out just yet but I will need some kind of power in the garage for now. I...

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

Because it's the cheapest way I can find to run 160' and I want to be able to upgrade it later.

    Attach 2-2-2-4 to breaker panel?

Can any tell me what you need to attach 2 and 4 AWG wire to a breaker panel? the 40A breaker in the panel will not take wire that thick and I doubt it's rated for aluminum anyway. I assume there is some sort of intermediate junction box you can use?

    PEX Tubing in floor

That stuff looks great, there are no dealers near me however. Was it small enough to ship? I'm having hard time picturing how you have 6" around the slab, do you have a photo from the build?

    PEX Tubing in floor

If I understand you correctly, you basically formed your slab with 2" foam and your floor floats with 2" of separation from the outside footer walls? I'm just pouring a simple flat slab, so I won't be able to do that, it certainly would keep the heat in though.

    PEX Tubing in floor

I'm actually talking about the entire exposed perimeter of the slab. I'll have 5" of exposed concrete all the way around, plus a little more at the doors now that you mention it. I guess I could go 1" foam and flash it under the siding so that it doesn't catch any water coming off the wall.

Are the Ridgid batteries lifetime warranty

I had them replace a couple under warranty, but I did register them with the receipt like you are supposed to. They would go bad a couple times a year though, I eventually threw the drill out. I don't know if they would replace them more than twice.

    Water storage tank gauge?

It really depends on what you have available as far as access holes to the tank. Something like this would be the simplest way http://www.watertanksandpumps.com.au/tankaccessories

    PEX Tubing in floor

As I was drawing out the plans for this I ran into another question. What have you guys done to cover up the insulation on the outside of the slab? If I go 2" pink on the outside, I'm going to have more than 1" of pink foam sticking out below the siding and probably 6" or more above the grade.

Type of tool needed to remove this?

Can you get to the back side of it? There's probably a lock ring there if you can.

    PEX Tubing in floor

That sounds great, I hope you post pics when it's done. I'm probably going to buy panels but do my own arduino based controller and pump system. I was thinking of using a hot water heater as storage so that it's insulated and I have a supplemental heat source option, it's possible I'm being...
