I would probably prefer 6-point as that's what I've been buying lately, but I have them elsewhere if I need them. Though there is plenty of 12 point in my shop box, and these would likely be a good match for the 12-pt. Armstrong deep sockets that are coming as part of a surplus kit I purchased.

Sockets I did a search, and instead of starting a new thread: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FACOM-sk-16Pcs-Metric-Deep-12-32mm-Socket-Set-Tools-/370573773423?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&vxp=mtr&hash=item5647eb0a6f#ht_1587wt_1389 Metric deep sockets is a hole I need filled in my shop tool box. These...

    USA Made ratcheting wrenches?

How much $$ were they for a set of 10-ish?

any old timers know proper technique for bubble wheel balancers?

Agreed. I used to run tall (33") but relatively narrow 255mm (10") light-truck tires, but now use 285s, which makes the static bubble balancing more difficult.

20 Armstrong ratcheting wrenches, 12 deep sockets

Sorry you missed out. I wanted the metric most, but also want the SAE. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HBDWSY/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Not sure that long Amazon.com link will work, but before deciding to buy these Armstrongs I was considering this metric set of reversible, ratcheting combination...

Like it, nice work. Trying to decide which aftermarket set-up to use on my new Tundra was well.

any old timers know proper technique for bubble wheel balancers?

A few months ago I spent some time playing with a bubble balancer, later published a few blog posts about it, starting with this one: http://roadtraveler.net/dont-tolerate-half-a-bubble-off

20 Armstrong ratcheting wrenches, 12 deep sockets

That is a great test and testimonial. Sweet! I have a hole in my shop kit, and need some 1/2" metric deep sockets, so it would have been perfect if the sockets were metric instead of SAE. But these nice Armstrong deep sockets may push me to buy some matching metric and fill the hole. Being...

20 Armstrong ratcheting wrenches, 12 deep sockets

Since I was on the fence, if I'd read your post last night I might not have ordered, fearing the quality? I thought of waiting until this morning… glad I didn't, all gone now. I bet they will be fine. It might be good that the direction lever is a little stiff? Since new, my older Craftsman...

    USA Made ratcheting wrenches?

Thanks for the encouragement, you might help push me over the edge. I have an older set of Craftsman brand gear wrenches (7 years old?) that I like and use all the time. I was placing my oder and balked when shipping and tax drove the price up to $176. Still seems like a good deal... I might...

    USA Made ratcheting wrenches?

I hope that is my experience as well. I'm tempted by the Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet deal for the Armstrong ratcheting wrenches (don't really care about the extras). I called my local Fastenal, confirmed they can/will warranty Armstrong tools. They answered yes and offered me an Armstrong catalog...

I received my S-K 3/8" drive set and like it. The proof of value (or lack of) will be over time.

    Future Home of SK Tools...

Purchased 3/8-drive set. I voted with my dollars. Made-in-USA and purchased online from ToolTopia.com. I'll see how I like them when I have a couple minor maintenance jobs to do in a few weeks. Also see how long it takes for free ground shipping from Louisiana to Nevada...

    Future Home of SK Tools...

Thanks for the Advanced Auto suggestion. I guess I may need need to search for coupon codes? Without them ToolTopia still seems to be the low priced winner for the socket set I'm considering (like $50).

    Future Home of SK Tools...

I have a Grainger local (and a business), but it looks like the prices are much higher than ToolTopia, don't think I can afford SK from a B&M store.

    Future Home of SK Tools...

I'm going to buy some sockets, hope they are the new ones, probably from ToolTopia.com. Seems ToolTopia has the product and really good prices/deals.
