tools to be checked on an airline

Re: tools to be checked on a airline I flew 8 times in the past year and probably over 50 times in the past 7 years with a 40lb tool bag for my employment. When I check in for the flight I say I have a bag of tools and would like them to be kept locked. I carry the bag to the TSA bag screener...

tools to be checked on an airline

Re: tools to be checked on a airline You can just put a regular lock on the bag or box. TSA will want to inspect it when you are present. Then put your lock back on it. All secure.

do you ever do something that makes you feel stooooopid?

I've done many a stupid thing while turning wrenches. I can say though I learn from my mistakes and don't often repeat them. What gets me is when I see one of my coworkers making the same stupid mistakes over and over again.

    Another goofy question...ratchet adapters

I have a set to use with my speed handles. The ratchet adaptor is helpfull in areas where the handle of the speed wrench would hit something and you would have to reset the tip often.

It was a sad day in 51c

I assume your in the military and in aviation by the etchings on those. I'm in the Navy myself and work on F/A-18C's. Those who don't work in aviation won't understand the need for some specialty tools.
