Tips for disconnecting electrical connectors on cars?

I hate the connectores with a locking tab on either side. Pry one side loose, push it back, then work on the other side, and the first side snaps shut again!

    Critique my floor plan?

Why such a small living room space? And why keep it closed off so much? Looks like a very small and cramped area with the furniture you have in the floor plan. You have more open wasted space then the entire living room in the hall way by the kitchen/dining room.

    Reflection in TV

I have a full motion tilt mount hooked up to my tv out in the garage. Works great, I keep it tipped down, and some times turn it to one side.

Kraft faced insulation ceiling already drywalled

I was able to find faced and unfaced rolls in my area, but Menards was the only place I could find it locally. The other local home improvement centers only had faced.

    How many ladders ?

I just have a single 17' werner multipurpose ladder and a 2 step step ladder. Ladders take up a lot of space, the werner seems to be able to handle all of my needs so far. If I ever needed to get up higher I would probably just pay someone to do the job. I am not a big fan of heights when it...

    cost to refill fire extinguisher?

I purchased a quality fire extinguisher from my local fire supply center. I just had it serviced for the first time, its about 7 years old. It does cost more, but I still feel it is very cheap insurance. And if I am going to buy one, I would rather spend a little more for piece of mind knowing...

New garage going up neighbor pitching a fit

Surprised that you even had problems, plenty of large garages and out buildings in Lino lakes. Just look at all of the lots south of Lilac St.

    cutting a hole in metal

I had to do this on my 4runner, I first drilled a 1/4" pilot hole then went at it with a hole saw. I also had to buy a 3/8" hex extension for the hole saw to drive it all the way through.

Really, really long metric hex keys?

I needed a long T-Handle 5mm wrench once, ended up buying a 1/4" T-Handle and a 5mm L-Wrench. Cut a inch or so off the 5mm and welded it onto the end of the 1/4".

Might as well start a welding thread.

the foot looks awesome :) And you should try using anti splatter spray on your parts, the spray on stuff works pretty good.

    Moving an Air Compressor

I had a few neighbors help me unload my 60 gallon quincy from my pickup truck and move it into the back corner of the garage. Even with 4 of us it wasn't a easy task.

Evolution rage 3 sliding miter saw

Just picked up a second rage 3 saw today at Lowes, on closeout for $100 :shocking: I have no need for a second saw, but at that price I couldn't resist. The standard blade alone is normally $40.

    Warehouse Ladder Step Wheels

I added some offset wheels to my tubing bender stand. They also sit just off the ground. Lift up the other end a few inches, and wheel it around. No complicated hinges or moving parts. Its not something I would want to have to move around every day, but for how often I need to move it this setup...

TV in garage/ no cable needed

I have a couple boxee box's and a logitec revue with google tv. I have a boxee in the garage right now, but plan on putting the google tv out there. Tried one of the apps on it called Redux, and it has a handful of car channels that I have enjoyed watching. Its basically a service where people...

    Northern tool

I bought my quincy air compressor at Northern tool, their selection of air compressors and air tools is impressive. They also have a good selection of hydrolic press's, floor jacks, and welding equipment. I've bought some larger wrenches from them as well, for projects where I needed to cut...

    Catching **** for cleaning tools...

I wish I had the good habbit of cleaning my tools, and putting everything away as soon as I am done. Far to easy for me to just leave stuff out, or pile **** up in the drawers. I've been working on changing that, trying to improve my habbits and put things away. With that said, I would give you...
