The Wood topped Kobalt is best compared to the Yukon, not the USG.

I’ll preface this by saying I have a US Gen 56 & 5 drawer cart The wood top box is a Yukon competitor and should be compared to it not USG The 5 drawer carts that I’ve seen at Lowe’s, HD, Menards & HF all seem to me to be the same.

I have the Combo wrenches OP posted (they were $100 last Christmas) and have GW ratcheting wrenches and they seem on par and at that price point is a good deal IMO. Dbl Box end set has worked fine the 3/8 ratchet is a carbon copy of husky. For $10 it’s a good back up Screwdrivers were poor

Yeah, I think that’s correct for Nicholson files. that seems really high for a striking surface. it will be interesting to see how they hold up

Were you using a cheapy file? Typically good files are hardened all the way thru. a mid 60s hardness would give me some concern
