Saw a neat product at Northern tools

Did anyone see the dimensions of the platform? I have 2 non-motorized hoists that I really like, but do find it a pain to crank them up and down. Annette

Found a wall-mount garage vacuum to try...

Hey all, sorry for not responding. I posted then left to go out of town to chaperone a school field trip. I looked at the Hoover GUV, but didn't think it had the blower option, which is a big deal for me. I love being able to just grab the hose, switch over to blow and do a quick clean up...

Found a wall-mount garage vacuum to try...

Last year I bought myself a wall-mounted Metro vacuum/blower. It is a great garage unit that doesn't require any work install wise. Just hang on the wall and you have a great 4HP vac with a 24ft hose and nice attachments. It also converts to a blower for a quick blow out of the garage. It cost...

    About RaceDeck From RaceDeck

Hey Jorgen, glad to see you here! Whatever happened with the Racedeck product that looks like a wood floor? I saw an episode of My Classic Car that talked about it and showed a nice example, but have never seen it show up for sale anywhere. Any chance of a Racedeck floor with a matte finish...

    what color to choose aghhh

Not the greatest pic, but my "chair rail" is a checkerboard paper. British Racing Green on bottom, and Grey above. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/BoCRon/Garage%20Redeux/EPSN1173.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video...

    Chick Needs Some Help!

Offend the guys on this board? LOL, possible I'm sure but not by mentioning a stripper pole! Of course, I've been trying to come up with a way to make it doubly useful, like storage for a track wheel set-up maybe??? Now if only we could convince her to do a couple of days at a Driving School...

bluesman2a, looking good! I'm glad to see you making some real progress. It was probably too hot earlier to enjoy it anyway. So if you don't mind my asking, what part of Atlanta? Annette

    Chick Needs Some Help!

2DoubleD's, Welcome, from another chick!! I won't address everything you've asked, but will chime in on the subjects I hope I can help with. First, I may have missed it, but what are the exact dimensions of the space, and how many vehicles do you hope to be able to park in there on a daily...

Question for racedeck or other tile owners

On another side, one of the guys in the MINI club used whole tiles only. His ended up being about 6 inches shy of the walls all the way around. He finished it off with the ramp edge all the way around in red, it looks really sharp. He had a similar situation as you and didn't like the cut edges...

Question for racedeck or other tile owners

When I did mine, I pulled up the baseboard in the garage. We cut the edge tiles and left the 1/2 inch as mentioned. I replaced the baseboard with the rubber base that you can get at HD or Lowes. It finished off the entire thing and looks great, plus it was very easy to install. Annette

    My Modest Little Garage

Stunning, love the brick! The interior looks like an operating room, I bet it's a joy to spend time in. What is it with Brits and brick? I think it's an innate ability. My dad was from the UK and worked professionally as a physicist, but could do some awesome brickwork. As can all of my...

    The Skunkworks Build begins

Looks like a great project. Take lots of pics, it's really a blast to look back on the before/after shots. OT, everytime I see you post I think it's my brother posting. He also lives in Atlanta and is very into the blues, and his email is bluesmanz. But then I realize he would NEVER spend a...

    Do Not Touch.

I was at the MINI Cooper yearly gathering at the Dragon a few weeks back. On Saturday night it's a tradition to do a midnight run, everyone meets and compares all the cool night time silliness we can put on our cars. Then we drive up to a big gravel area and at midnight everyone lifts the bonnet...

Mom and Dad's new Garage Floor - TuffSeal Tile

I love the tuffseal tiles. I've had a sample of them in my basement for about a year. I'm thinking for the cost I'd rather use them in my exercise room in the basement! Annette
