HF 44 series 2 Black Friday

I'm going to contact them about it. The full extension demo is what sold me on the box.

HF 44 series 2 Black Friday

^^^My blue 44 does not extend that far out. The demo in the store did, however.

HF 44 series 2 Black Friday

I picked mine up earlier in the week. The only thing I've noticed is that my drawers don't fully extend like the demo box's did. Has anyone else come across this?

Attaching Butcher Block to HF Toolboxes?

Mine is a 72x30 and is just laid on top. It isn't going to go anywhere. I had it sitting on two 18" deep boxes before I picked up the new 22" deep box.

Just picked up my new 44" box from Harbor Freight. Now I get to spend this evening organizing everything.

    Screw driver organization

Glad you can take a joke. I absolutely cannot do flip-flops or bare feet in my garage. Hell, I even adopted a "safety/steel toe only" rule after I was cutting sheet metal and the grinder caught, ripped out of my hands, and landed on my sneaker. Luckily, I still have all ten toes. I have...

    Screw driver organization

Bare foot, wine glass, vertical video, and two large drawers dedicated to one row of screw drivers. I'm willing to bet the handles still have price tags.

Surface rust on Snap-on impact sockets

My Craftsman US-made impacts all develop surface rust. The cheapo Harbor Freight impact sockets I got ten years ago don't. Go figure. I just wipe them with oil and it cleans right up. Not a big deal.

How important is COO to you and why?

That's the issue. Then I am putting things on hold for a week or more to wait for a replacement versus running to the store. For me, I don't even care if it is a big chain or a small store. I just want someplace local whose hours don't correspond with when I'm at work. I think it really depends...

How important is COO to you and why?

Would I prefer to buy tools made in the USA? Of course I would. However, what is also important to me is having the ability to change out a tool should I need to do that, and I don't want to have to chase down a tool truck to do so. That option doesn't really exist with USA-made tools anymore...

HF 44 series 2 Black Friday

I went in yesterday to buy a blue one and they only had one black one in stock. So, I said I would take that after they inspected it for damage. It was apparently badly damaged, so I ordered a blue on at the $399.99 price. I had a $50 Visa card that was a rebate from tires I had bought back in...

    Homak RS-Pro 72" Tool Box

I'm quite intrigued by this box. I called my local Napa and they said they'd be willing to have one brought in for me to check out.

I have the Vermont American 58 Piece sets in both SAE and Metric. They are very nice sets for light-medium duty. Just don't expect to stick a tap in a drill and cut new threads.

Do you ever use stubby wrenches over say 14mm ?

^^^Essentially a 12pt crow's foot. I used an 18mm stubby wrench for an AN fuel fitting the other day.

    Sears Going Down Fast

The salespeople are on commission, so they get a higher cut peddling the appliances over screwdrivers. However, I have never been to a Sears where an employee was readily available for assistance. I've always had to hunt for someone to unlock a cabinet or hunt for a cash register that was...

Looking for a SK Tool dealer in Detroit, MI area

Those x-frame wrenches do look nice. I think the biggest pitfall is not having the box end side offset.

Get the correct adapters and have at it. It is a great tool to have in your arsenal. It makes clutch jobs a cinch, too.
