    Tools from the old world

I have never seen anything from "nic", perhaps a special industrial tool to measure hex sizes?? There was plenty of toolmakers in Eskilstuna, even Bahco made wrenches there before the move to Argentina in 1970s I have some wrenches from "Original Stecoge" too, of so-so design, guess which one I...

Hmm maybe a bigger tool company bought them...like Bahco did with Orenco. Nice picture. I would like to have that "boy":). Interresting link, I see that there has been more than one tool manufacturer around, inspecifically woodworking ones...Maybe someone has a "museum" like that for german...

Has anybody used this kind of lift before ???

That lift looks nice for us with too small garages:) I bought this monolift from 1986 a while ago mainly to use as a lift for longtime parking during the cold months, without blocking my cramped garage too much. I have not find the final place for it yet, I must try a few different cars on it...

    Tools from the old world

How about some old german tools:) I have a two Itmas...anyone knows when they had their heyday? Says "Germany" and "finished in UK" at the wrench!? But the ratchet is "made in Germany". One of my favorite ratchets. And Jungk...? I believe the Jungks are at least 50 years old but probably older...

    Tools from the old world

Yes vehicles older than 30 years are taxfree. The 27 year old J-20 costs now ~200eur annually which is a heavy increase from a few years ago! To put things in perspective a full tank of gas is nowadays ~80eur. That's also an increase:mad: It's really worth it travel to Västerås if you like...

    Tools from the old world

Yes I have. Or no, it's a pickup '82 Jeep J-20. Volvos up to 1970s use SAE too. Plus there are a LOT of old american iron in sweden:) The "Hjort" is the oldest, I think the "70-series" was introduced in 1920s. Here some from the Orenco works, mainly from the 1950s

Re: speaking of coolers While browsing our equivalent to craigslist I found this one...looks like an IR type 30 compressor, and some sort of cooler!! The id tag says it's a 1973 model. Owner claims it sat unused for some thirty years and I'm prepared to beleive him when I study the photo. What...

    Bahco 80 series adjustable wrenches

I'm glad to say that all kind of saw stuff are still made in Bollnäs and Lidköping! Very good saw blades! But four years ago they moved the production of small hacksaws to Portugal...(like the 319 and 325) They make woodsaws among other wood-tools at the huge plant in Bollnäs, but I have to ask...

    Bahco 80 series adjustable wrenches

Two years ago they moved the adjustable wrenches from Enkoping Sweden to Spain, after 115 years of production...what that means for quality is too early say I beleive:headscrat

I guess you guys have not seen too many Atlas Copco's in the US, when you have so many good domestic ones to chose from? The two stage is a 200psi from 1965, all original down to the hoses, except for the pressure gauge which I crashed some years ago. Anyone have an original matching numbers...

I' sorry to say that the Nike jacks are note made in sweden anymore...since some twenty years ago they make them in asia.:( I guess the they don't speak very loud about this. But I'm shure they are much better than the typhical low-buck china jacks that floods the world. They still do make other...
