    Rock Island Vise

I went to a car show and swap meet today and found this Rock Island Vise. I don't know much about them but I needed one for my new garage. It has the number 93 on it,it's heavy and in decent condition, perfect for my needs. Hey for $30. I think it's worth it,also found this old 1 1/2 gallon oil...

    New 20x30 detached Garage

I had an electrician come over and I actually found a guy that let me work with him. I needed him to hook up to the house main panel,it was a little tricky being I had hardly any room left. We had to double up and look for some unusual quad breakers a 50/20 and a 15/40 which nobody had ,finally...

    outlet location

As far as I know there is no code here in NY for outlet height. I like the above idea the best.Funny I was just outside and measured 30" off the floor thinking this would be a perfect height and here you just mentioned it. I'll go a little higher over the workbench and I'll have one outlet 7' up...

    New 20x30 detached Garage

Thanks,it was a lot of work and I actually had enough after taking the old shed down to have a new shed built also. I wish I had saved some of the weatherd 3/4 T-111 for the garage attic floor, but I got so sick of looking at it spread all over the yard. You can see a pile of it behind my Road...

    outlet location

I'm getting ready to wire my garage. I notice alot of guys run there outlets high midway up the wall. Is this just a preference as opposed to low outlets? I can understand where your workbench is, but not sure why around the whole perimeter unless they keep alot of stuff on the floor or for...

    Modine propane heater question

Is the exhaust pipe to close to the sides of the roof? It is double wall but a couple of people brought it to my attention so I thought I'd ask here. If so, what can I do to correct the problem. If I try and widen the hole it may leak,I have it pretty well tared up. Thanks.

    New 20x30 detached Garage

:thumbup:Thanks to all for the nice comments and suggestions. Yeah the key word was "at the time" . I purchased the home last year and found the garage shortly afterwards so cash flow was low at that time. I've had the car for 7 years,it was in primer and needed work when I bought it. I did just...

    New 20x30 detached Garage

Well I finally had my 20x30 garage built this past fall along with a new fence, shed, driveway, and cement work. The yard took a beating so I'll have to do lanscaping later this year. I'm getting ready for electric and then insulation and eventually sheetrock. I'll probably do T8 HO fluorescent...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

The atlas weighs 200lbs more than the ee-6503. Is yours really that much better? I'm just asking because the atlas can be shipped to me directly in a couple of days, and for $3200. would probably be around the same cost. I like the fact that it has a 4 3/8" lowered height and can be recessed...
