    Barn floor SOAKED....

So I'm obviously having an issue right now, and I'm hoping its solveable. It was really nice here in md today (65ish), so I decided to change the oil in the truck. I got home from work, opened up the door to my pole barn, backed in and got out. The entire floor had a "film" of condensation on...

Selecting wainscoat, siding and roof colors

Should look ok. I did "clay" trim and roof and bronze siding, no wainscoat. If you try some pole barn builders websites, they have "visualizers" we're they have a barn, and you can select tons of color options, to get an idea of what it will look like

Insulate with closed cell spray foam directly against steel panels or against barrier

Looks great! Are you gonna do the roof to? If I go this route, I may do the 3/4" foam board on the roof just for ease of hanging, much lighter than trying to do 4x8 sheets of Osb 20' off the floor Also, What are you doing as far as electric? Emt on the finished wall?

    Critique My insulation plan....

Yea I'm thinking the same thing. Last winter I got 80 sheets of 7/16 for 5$/sheet off Craigslist. Was gonna use that as my wall covering, but may be putting tHat in to be sprayed. I'm gonna have to sit down and really do some math and decide which way to go, wether it be - fanfold xps, 8'...

    Critique My insulation plan....

I talked to one of the local companies, he said they won't spray against 1/4 as its to "flimsy" Said they will spray against 3/4-1" foam board or 7/16 Osb. Just so happens I've got a ton of Osb around, if I nail that to the inside of my exterior purlins, then have them spray to that, am I...

    Critique My insulation plan....

Yea if I went spry foAm I'd have to have it sprayed onto tyvek or fanfold, but will it stick?

    Critique My insulation plan....

My bigger concern with the spray foam is having to change panels down the road. With 3" of foam stuck to them, it cannot be easy?

    Critique My insulation plan....

Here for a little critiqueing of my plan going forward. I'm getting ready to start wiring the barn, and plan to move right onto insulation when I'm done. The barns 40x48x16 and I plan to atleast heat (maybe a/c) eventually. I would love to do spray foam, but for a building this size, it's just...

Hello fellow garage floor junkies! NEED Polyurea help

I just finished my nohr s Polyurea floor from legacy. 3 coats, standRd gray primer, gray Polyurea with flakes, and a clear topcoat of Polyurea. It looks awesome!! I haven't started to move things in yet due to time issues, but I'm hoping it'll hold up. I asked and was told by Scotty that tires...

    Best grinder to remove TLPPC

It took me right about 24 hours over 3 days to grind mine off. Approx 2250 sq' of power trowled floor. It sucked, it was slow and miserable. I used a rented dual head edco

Traditional Insulation - metal building. Vapor Barrier??

Yes, thats because the Kraft paper is a vapor barrier. If you put up unfaced batts, then you would need poly sheeting for a Vapor barrier

Please advise - bad contractor messed up my concrete floor

Just to throw it out there. I got a couple quotes to grind the failed tlppc off my floor, and they were all around 1-3$ per sq. foot, for my 2300 sq' barn....needless to say, I rented the 300$ grinder sucked it up and did it myself. Again, I like the look, I say leave it

    Best grinder to remove TLPPC

Well I ground my floor Labor Day weekend, wasted the whole weekend, 24 hours of grinding with A dual head edco. I started with the diamabrush and prep tool, was hardly scratching the surface. Took that back and went to a rental place and got the grinder. My floor was power trowled and VERY...

    Best grinder to remove TLPPC

I understand your legal side of it, and that it can't be discussed. What I am dissapointed about is the retailer that puts this product out there doesn't step up and atleast offer to cover re-grinding costs. Hundred to hundred and fifty bucks max? Instead of just, well we gave you your money...
