No, the biscuits will, in fact, keep your boards aligned.

If you can't find clear, square, straight lumber at HD or another big box store, try to find another lumber yard in your area. Seems every town has a least one small supplier that most builders in the area will use.

Everyone is telling you to use planks for the sides of the "box" part of the vanity. However, without biscuit joining these, and running the edges through a joiner, you will never be able to get them to glue one smoothly.

Should end up being a negligible difference once you strip 3"-6" of topsoil before digging for your slab.

Pocket holes for the actual "box" construction for the cabinet is what you need. You could even use it for the face frame construction if you wanted. Personally, for a vanity, I would choose rough cut cedar over pallet wood, but that choice is really up to you. Miter joints aren't a terrible...

I'm still working with my Kobalt set that I got a few years ago. Did just upgrade finally to a full set of Gearwrench wrenches.

Curious as to how large you made the spacing between each screwdriver hole, if you don't mind sharing? Wouldn't mind making something similar, but I'm terrible at determining spacing and stuff like that.

Had the Tekton wrenches ordered and they showed up today. Went into Sears today and saw the Gearwrench sets for $30 a piece. Kind of an impulse buy but they'll get used.

I'm drooling. Also, did you get that bucket of Spax screws from HD? I've never seen them sold in that large of a quantity.
