    What is considered "Roughed In"

I would guess it depends on the local codes but for me they wanted to see all the wire fed through with a certain amount of hot and neutral hanging out of each box. And they wanted to see the grounds wound together but nothing else connected. This was for the initial rough in.

Are there that many walk-ins at a dealership? I would have thought that most places require an appointment.

Or maybe they want to go where they feel like they can ask questions.

Then the necessity to rush is so... to be available in case a new job comes through the door. I'm guessing this wouldn't be a problem if you are the only tech. What I don't understand yet is how the competition among techs works. Why rush for 6 hours just to stand around for 34 hours?

So why is there so little work? Are the cars these days that good or are the cars so bad that no one buys them? Also, If you only have 8 hours of work in 6 days. Why the rush? is it first come first serve as far as who gets the work?

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Just picked up this vise on ebay... Thought it might come in handy being a "clip" on. I thought it was kind of cool looking too.

end mill for 18g steel sheet metal

end mill for 18g steel sheet metal... I don't have a milling machine, but can someone recommend an end mill (flutes, finish, etc.) that I can run in a router to cut sheet metal? Or if that's even possible? I'd like to cut sheet metal using a pattern. Perhaps there is an easier way.

2500 hours in a C130 has desensitized my ears somewhat.. but I'm also a big proponent of ear protection.

    two compressors in tandem

I'm not sure how it's different. Unless there is a check valve in the outlets. Although, I guess the entire volume of air will flow "through" the second tank. That may not be a good idea if for no other reason than it might pick up more moisture. Well, a t-connection won't be that difficult.

    3" DA help

I had the same problem and when i mentioned it to a few people they looked at me like I had two heads. But I swear I could not find them. I came across this guy at a swap meet. I bought some of the screw in type from him. Here is the number. Maybe they have what you need. Truckers Choice...

    two compressors in tandem

I picked up a porter cable 3.5/1.6hp compressor that has two air outlets. My plan is to hook up this compressor in series from my other compressor by using both air outlets (I guess one will be in inlet). Next time I use a lot of air. I'll report on how it works out. Thanks all for the input.
