    22x29 attached garage used as a hobby DIY work area. I have 750 sq. Ft. Of Epoxy-Coat color coat/clear coat material. Floor has been Diamond ground to perfection and all blames/cracks etc. repaired with Epoxy paste. Weather has been too wet here on Long Island but Saturday looks good if not...

    You need to do your homework on all of what you want to accomplish. The springs on the bar are Tensioned by wire size and length. The weight of your door will dictate the proper springs via a chart. I just installed a Liftmaster 3800C and am very happy with the results. Al W.:beer:

    Just stopped by to finish this Thread. First I bought a piece of pipe from the local Iron works. 1" turned out to be 1.065! Took it back and got a piece of Cold Rolled solid that was .985 True Dem.. Installed it all with the Wayne Dalton 3800C and it works great. A little of this and that but...

    I just finished the installation of the 3800C. I am very satisfied with the results. Accurate stops, cool features and quiet. Now we'll see about longevity and required maintenance. So far I give it a 9 out of 10. Al W.

    I'm converting from Springs and Cable to a Jackshaft tensioner. I cannot find a source on the internet for the iron bar that the Tension springs attach to. Can anyone supply me with a source? Thanks, Al W.:bowdown:
