    Vinegar for rust awesome!

    If the chrome is breached in the slightest, then rust would have formed under the chrome. The removal of the rust is what has made the chrome come off. The rust had already separated the plating.

    Yes, I would not encourage anyone to be setting the mechanical anchors with the posts in place. Better to follow the Wej-it instructions and set the anchor below the surface of the floor. The Wej-it instructions are basically saying to use the nut and washer on the bolt as a depth gage stop...
