That white like was Cobb webs. The number 113 is stamped in that same photo just above the jaw support.

Cyber auctions and govdeals mostly. I got the vise and arbornpress from Lynnwood auction. Thanks, I definitely enjoyed working on the drill press. I got a few grinders and an old compressor in the que next for restoration.

I picked this up recently. From the catalogs on the first page it would seem this vise is from 48-56?? Does anyone know the manufacturer? The numbers stamped on it don't exactly line up with the numbers in the catalog.

About finished up, I really like the way it came out. Today I will pick up a power cord for the VFD and make a mount for it. I'm still undecided if I want to put a light on it nor not.

I won 2 lots from a local auction site, and got this vice and arbor press for 50 each.

I got most of the press put back together, im very happy with the way it came out so far.

Update! After a 3 week work trip to Germany I'm finally back in my shop putting the drill press back together. I snad blasted most of the parts in my cabinet but for the large awkward table and base plate I used a needle scaler. I ended up using sandpaper to clean up the pole. Basically...

Yup thats exactly what he's selling for 800. But im letting this one go and decided to take the advice of people that went down this road and buy a bigger better lathe. I don't want to realize later that I should have just bought the bigger one in the first place.

I eliminated the pedal because at the time I was just trying to get it put back together and running correctly. One less variable. Without the pedal I only have to reach down and turn the ball valve, and I can still keep my right hand inside the cabinet. It's really no trouble at all. I might...
