What is your plan for the extra insulation? I have the same fiber glass with backing and am figuring out how I should add more with out causing moisture issues due to the plastic on the current insulation.

Very true. Definitely an improvement from the driveways at our last few places.

Started on coil overs on the wagon. Would be much easier if lift was installed and I had power to the shop.

Changed oil in my truck and worked on cleaning and organizing. Then started unpacking the lift.

Working on grading around the building and starting to trench for power.

And the shell is now complete. After several materials delays the contractor finished their part of the build. Now the really slow process of doing my part to finish up begins. First up trenching to run power and water to the building and building driveways to get vehicles in to the building.

Majority of framing is in place. Insulation and steel should be starting tomorrow.

Continuing to work through the back orders of various materials and now on track to get closer to finishing the building. Trusses arrived and were installed yesterday. Today they are continuing with framing. Insulation is supposed to be available next week so they can proceed with that and metal.

Thanks, quite exciting to see it start to come together. Waiting on trusses then will resume with the building.

And today the floor was poured. In the next couple days they will do the saw cuts. Then waiting for the building contractor to come out and finish the structure.

Started work on stripping off the topsoil and grass in the area today. Builder is scheduled to start setting posts on Tuesday

Have some plans for the area above the door. 7’ doors on previous garages have always worked for what I needed and have the taller doors if I get something bigger

Will be using metal trusses that have a vaulted style so will have extra height inside. Wanted good height for the loft area but not to tall. I don’t have plans for an RV in the future do didn’t need a 14’door. But in the future a taller door could be added on the end walls.

Plan for the shop is a 40x60 pole barn. It will have 3 roll up doors. 2 12x12 on the 60ft sides to allow for pull through access and a 16x7 on the front to provide parking for some of the finished fun vehicles. The back half of the building will be my working area with a 2 post lift and space...
