Yeah I would guess so, but nothing is ever perfect. Look at quincy and the 325 model pump they have record of changes up past 104 which mine is, it's a awesome pump but they made it better as the years went. I only spent 75 for the entire thing so I wouldn't be mad if it didn't work out...

Took out all the valves which the 2 hp side valves were tough to get out but I got them all cleaned up. There's two valve hold down a with holes drilled in them I took a chance and opened them up slightly which made it a tad bit louder and fills the tank maybe 10 seconds faster

I bought a set of used Vermont american SAE tap and dies off ebay, it's a older set that i believe is carbon but they do work well I had a larger tap and a big tap wrench and was really turning it and it cut and never snapped.

Anyone know of any good compound to seal the joints on the piping. I bought some stuff that was a paste it said good to 2600psi and every damn joint leaked. So I used Teflon tape but still have a leak at the union fitting and maybe 1 more else where

100 seems like a fair price as I only paid 75 for the pump and motor and gauges. I think the max rpm on this pump is 700 as I think it's a 300 series leroi from looking at there pump specs and sizes on the actual pump. Think any faster the piston speed would be to fast.

I don't think the 2hp would work spinning the pump at close to max speed like I am. I'm right at 700rpms with my larger sheave from my quincy.

I would use the induction motor if I didn't have the 5hp. My orginal plan was to scrap the motor to pay for the pump. My little garage just doesnt have the rooms for it. Maybe someone on Craigslist will jump on it for 100 bucks does that seem like a fair price

I believe the issues with the HP valve on my 325 is cause of the older style top valve hold down. It orginally used a set screw the newer style I had got used a much larger bolt and jam nut.
