Tramming a BP Mill, any members near by with a tool for this?

Nothing against your mill, but a used Bridgeport is not a dead nuts device. I too had an obsession with absolute perfection, takes a long time to realize it is not achievable and does not matter. Make up some thing with even a bent rod that goes into a collet on one end and holds the dial...

Plumbing: Best 1/4 Turn Supply Valve?

What he said. Heat on a valve body cannot make it "better". Compression fittings only exist for labor savings and untrained workers.

I need (15) 1" Diameter steel disk around about 18 gauge

Google maps has many sheet metal contractors in your area. Search for sheet metal in the "nearby" tab. Tell them you want round slugs in your range of diameter and thickness. You may well get them for free if they let you look in the slug bins under the punch presses.

Installing oven in garage 220v welder plug

Plan B: The oven heater elements only use 240. No neutral needed. The clock and the light won't work. On certain stove tops around 1975 with push button controls the top surface elements will not have all the heat ranges. Connect the bare ground wire to the frame of the stove. Complain...

Things you've learned, life lessons in the shop.
