That short 3/8" hose should be fine. You consider that the air going theough the hose is at 175#. The regulator is the problem. Bypass it to see if there is a change. Rig up a pressure gauge just upstream of the regulator and watch for a DP

Man they look cheep to me. A real shop ought to have real cabinents instead of aluminum and plastic. At least real wood, not particleboard.

Usually there is a rubber plug or a screw 3/4 the way up the side. With the jack collapsed, remove this plug and add oil through the hole until it overflows, then reinstall the plug or screw. BTW, this must be done with the jack collapsed or you will over fill it
