UPS mechanic showed this ideal to me. They use it to pull transmissions out of the passanger side of the truck. Like akdiesel said...times when you can't lower or raise the boom but need to lift.

I wish I had a way of modifying it to work on cars as well as trucks but pushing a truck into the shop ball to ball beats pushing it any day.

The last is a cheap welding table I put together. Nothing fancy but it works. I used a 1 Ton wheel, drive shaft and some flat plate. attached a vice that was my grand dads and welded a hook for my slag hammer.

I kind of stole this Ideal from a buddie of mine...but I still think it's a good ideal and needed to be posted. I modified a cherry picker by putting a cheap 2000 lbs. winch on the back of it. Set the height that you want and let the wench do the work. Beats pumping up the ram.

The next thing that I made was due to having to lift the motor out of a Honda Civic to get the Alternator out. The car was on the lift and I used a lift jack with a modified pad to lift the motor. I've since added some different attachments.

The first thing that I made was out of laziness I guess. we pulled the engine out of my nephews truck to rebuild and he wanted to do stuff to it while it was out. Not wanting to store it in the shop until he felt like comming over I made this tow/push bar to move it in and out of the shop.

I built my folding work bench using a solid core door blank ( pretty cheap if you can find one that is messed up on the face or edges) some door hinges attached to the wall and for legs I used 1" black pipe that screws into the bases attached to the bottom side of the door. when I want to fold...

Due to having some HF male couplings in the Industrial interchange style and some Milton I got tired of trying to match up the female with the males. I went with the Universal female and no more problems. A little more expensive then regular females but worth the time saved.

nothing today, at the fire station. Yesterday... Put a window regulator in my cousins chevy pickup, cleaned the carb. on my generator (even though i run it every month the neddle was stuck) cleaned the carb on my cousins 4 wheeler due to it leaking fuel. Turned out to be a hole in the fuel line...

I installed the ball valve and elbow/extension on the bottom of the tank. I also have an automatic drain that I purchased from Duncan Equipment. I have not insalled the auto drain at this time due to the compressor not being in it's final location. We have them on our truck exhaust systems at...

My soffit is installed with J-Channel on what would be the brick mold side and then just coil material on the fascia. it has held up well for 9 years like this.
