Help Crafstman Professional Compressor broke - what is this?

Thanks. If you look at these 2 pics, it's the black thing with an o-ring on it on the end of the silver pipe. It should go in that long vertical black thing, but won't stay in it anymore. -Scott

Help Crafstman Professional Compressor broke - what is this?

I've got a Craftsman Professional 80gal compressor. I was grinding some stuff so it was cycling a lot when all of a sudden I hear a large hiss from my compressor closet while the compressor was running. After shutting it off, it stopped hissing. I noticed that the small pipe that goes from...

    Air Compressor Noise

Make sure you isolate the compressor from the ground. I used 4 hockey pucks under the compresor and that made a huge difference in reducing the noise. You can see what I did to reduce compressor noise here. http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=646376#post646376 -Scott

    Air Filter for garage

I usually do open the garage door when I work in there, but in the winter its way too cold (currently in the teens). Also when I clean up I usually sweep up, and then use the air hose to blow as much stuff as I can out the door. This usually creates a lot of dust. I would like to use the...

    Air Filter for garage

Any recommendations for an air filter system to help remove dust and vapors/gases commonly found in garages? Preferably a HEPA with active carbon, not an Ionic or ozone one. Will need to be able to clean 500-1000 sq-feet. -Scott

    Maxjax lifting Uneven

Here is what I did when this happened to me. Raise the lift to the max w/o anything on it, then swap hoses, then lower. It will be hard as hell to put the hoses back on. You might have to have someone push the lower button a little as you are trying to put the hose back on. It seemed to fix...

    Sound Insulation for Compressor Closet

Just an update. I finally got my compressor closet quiet enough to be able to have a normal volume conversation even standing next to it. Here are the steps I took in chronolocial order 1) Anchored the compressor to the concrete with Wej-It type anchors. - Compressor was so loud that even...

    3/4" filter/separator/filter

Also, the filters I have found have a poly bowl and a rating to 150psi. The outlet on my compressor is 180 psi. Should I just put the filter after the regulator, or should the filter be before the regulator? -Scott

    3/4" filter/separator/filter

Thanks Charles. So just a filter and regulator will be fine. When you see a line of the devices, filter, regulator, separator. Is it a general filter, regulator, and coalescing filter? -Scott

    3/4" filter/separator/filter

I haven't found any 3/4" water separators. Most filters I see, look similar to TP tools water separator. Are they the same thing, just called different names, or is a separator different from the filter? TP Tools water separator Parker Air filter Is Parker good? -Scott -Scott
