    Gladiator brand stuff

I have 4 of the 30" cabinets, mounted on upper and lower tracks. I also have them sitting on 4" x 4" posts, just for the extra support. I keep all my car care products, oil, spray cans and misc. stuff. The "diamond plate" doesn't bother me.

    2015 Garage SaleThread

Better luck than I had. I hit 3 garage sales this past weekend that all said they had tools. Came away empty handed. Didn't see a single tool. Must have been referring to the people having the sales...

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

My shop is not too big, but it is still a PITA to walk back to my box to grab a single tool. I picked this up at Lowe's and really like it. It even has a beer, I mean, a drink holder!

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

I drive a lot on and off road, in areas where there are tons of service trucks running. Just in the last few weeks I have found (3) Pittsburgh adjustable wrenches, the ones with the black cover. Found a Matco prybar and a fiberglass extension ladder. My most expensive find was an electronic flow...

How long did it take you to build your tool collections?

I started collecting my tools close to 30 years ago. I have gone years at a time between tool purchases, mostly either storage or financial reasons. I have been recently (over the last 7-10 years) upgrading or replacing tools that have been lost, stolen or broken. I am lucky enough to have the...

Went on kind of a buying binge today. Lincoln 140HD welder from Home Depot. Grabbed a few welding accessories also. Gloves, chipping hammer, cover for the machine. Picked up a Chicago Electric hammer drill and 14" cut-off saw from Harbor Freight. Found a welding helmet I like on ebay and a...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

This is Baxter. He is a mixed breed of something we haven't figured out yet. We adopted him from Petsmart after the PO gave him up. He has to be the smartest dog I've had. Only need to show him something once and he has it. This is him wondering why I'm taking his pic instead of working on the...

    Rotary vs Bend Pak

Thanks Jonjon. To tell you the truth, I used the Forward Lift BP9 specs to help size it up in my shop. I agree, the are the same lift with different stickers. I also noticed the Direct Lift Pro9F has the exact same dimensions as the Revolution and the Forward Lift BP9. Hell, the Direct Lift even...

    How do you do it?

My wife is very grounded and she handles the money. I get an allowance. I also have a savings account that is dedicated to whatever I want to buy (when she puts money in it). My shop is less than 700 sq. ft. Took almost 10 years to save the money to build it. If you want something bad enough...

    Lets see your workbench

Kuddos Wildstyle. That is an impressive bench. For mine, I ended up buying a 60" x 20" Gladiator bamboo bench because it fit exactly where I needed it to fit. And I'm not much of a carpenter. I thought the bench looked too nice to beat it up, so I bought so rubber runner-type material and...

    Rotary vs Bend Pak

In researching which two post lift to purchase, didn't realize how many different brands of lifts there are out there, I had a few criteria. First, my shop only has about a 10' clearance, so a floor plate model it had to be. I know the Mohawk A-7 posts would fit, would be able to "adjust" the...
