    Another Estate Sale score

My hardwire cabinet is nearly identical to that one. I painted mine to match my tool boxes and filled the drawers with those deep plastic receptacle boxes...got the idea on this board. These are great for organizing your hardware.

    Small Cart Recommendation

How soon do you want to get into a house? I can understand the need for a tool cart, but spending $1000+ when you are also saving for a house down payment seems counter intuitive. Why not make do with a cheaper HF cart for now, and put that $1000 towards your house down payment?

HF 4 & 5 drawer service cart - How did you set yours up?

Just an FYI, if you use chrome for your browser you can add on "photobucket embed fix" to the browser which will allow you to see all the photobucket pics in the old threads. ETA: Sadly it doesn't work on mobile devices...only desktop versions of chrome.

Any wastewater engineers around here? RV related question...

As others said, you won't get significant solid breakdown in such a short time span. However, to help prevent solids getting stuck on your sensors and the sides of the tank, add some Calgon water softener each time you start with a fresh black tank. It makes the "slurry" more slick so to...

    Ebay or Auction Deals Permathread!

Dangit, I've been watching Amazon too, but they were higher a while back IIRC. Oh well, I guess I spent $15 more than I had to.

    Ebay or Auction Deals Permathread!

Yost 750-DI vise on sale for $168.70 with free shipping. I've been watching for a deal on these for a while and haven't seen it this low before. It's not a Wilton or similar or USA I believe, but it is very stout and made with ductile iron, and gets good reviews. Also, only 100 available at...

    Nut & Bolt Storage

Re: Nut & Bolt Storage I found this index card cabinet at an antique flea market for $80. It was grey and rusty, but a little paint made it look new again. I stole the organizer idea from another member here from another hardware organization thread. They are deep receptacle boxes from HD...

Building a Table for a BGE

Mine is super heavy due to the 2" concrete top as well as the egg weighing quite a bit. I have the medium grade HF (4" I think) casters. IIRC they are rated for something like 750 lbs each, so they carry the load no problem. I have very carefully taken it over concrete slab lips as shown...

Does anyone have a coupon for the plasma cutter, or does it ever go on a decent sale?

    wow things have changed!

If the asphalt is in good condition and somewhat level, but just rough. Why don't you look into covering it with the snap together garage tiles? You would end up with a good looking floor that's easy to keep clean and roll around on. Also, the install would be super simple and cheaper/faster...

Best mig welder for the least amount of money...

If you are referencing the Hobart 140, check out the factory refurbished 140s. http://www.hobartweldshop.com/servlet/the-133/refurbished-welders/Detail I went this route and couldn't be happier. It looks like the prices went up a bit. When I ordered several months ago, it was $399 and...

30% Off Gladiator GWorks at HD Today

I jumped and got me two upper cabinets for the workbench. It's not the exact ones I was looking at, but they will work for what I need, and I saved over $100 by getting these instead. Thanks for the heads up.

I see. I was looking at the parking lot sale webpage, not an actual flyer. Will have to stop in tomorrow and pick one up.

Where are you seeing $359 at parking lot sale? I want to get one this weekend, but the June 2014 parking lot sale flyer is showing $389.

    Safe Gasoline Storage

As someone already mentioned before, if you don't like storing gas in your garage/shed, you probably shouldn't keep your vehicle(s) parked in there either. With both my vehicles filled up, I routinely have 40+ gallons of gas in my garage (in vented plastic tanks none the less). Chances are you...

    Spray on attic Radiant barrier

I too am a firm believer in the radiant barrier. We just finished building our new house several months ago and I spec'd the roof sheathing to be the foil backed variety. Using that coupled with ridge vents and the continous soffit vent hardi-board has made a huge difference. Since it is...

The JIB CRANE is finally up!

Shopnut, Sorry, I didn't mean to cause controversy or sidetrack this thread. I just saw some information posted above that was incorrect and thought I would correct. KBS said that the horizontal beams on your bottom pivot will experience both compression and tension as you rotate the crane...

The JIB CRANE is finally up!

Actually, just going by the pictures and without doing any real analysis, the beams on the bottom pivot should not see any compression or tension forces. The only way that this could occur is if he somwhow applied a side load, but all of his loads will be vertical. These vertical forces will...

    Oh No!!...Not another electrical question.

Thanks for the replies guys. Junkman, Trust me I am definitely going to have someone with experience guide me through this project (i will probably just do most of the grunt work), as I stated before I am just trying to get a feel for what is going to be involved in this project to get a rough...

    Oh No!!...Not another electrical question.

One more question about my proposed setup. If I install the meter with a main disconnect and then two sub-disconnects for their respective service panels at the remote meter location, will I need to also have main disconnects at the service panels themselves? Or, Could I use the disconnects at...
