N95 is viral particle sized filter. As an RT, I would say you are fine with that as it is kind of the mask standard IMHO and you aren't dealing with vapors. I would suggest a sealed goggles if that dust is really spreading, corneal abrasions aren't fun.

Ridgid. More torque, less money.

I love ridgid, but the scope of the tools is very limited. Their stuff hasn't disappointed me when it has been used. Just picked up the HD deal on the M12 drill/driver/battery and I am hoping for the 3/8 wrench for fathers day.

It's important to understand that ONLY the batteries that come with tools have the LSA. Makes it worth the extra cost to get the kit.

Lifetime Warranty (even on batteries) makes Ridgid great for home owners.
