    Ryobi or Ridgid Combo?

Ryobi's lineup and price point make it hard to beat. Ridgid is expanding their lineup much slower then Milwaukie or Ryobi, but the lifetime warranty is pretty awesome to have around. I bought Ridgid because of the warranty, but I picked up Milwauke M12 stuff for light duty stuff. Of course now...

Wow, I thought you guys were embellishing on the new CM tools!

My SIL picked up a 210 piece CM toolset. We will skip over the fact that I told her when she needed tools I would show her the best stuff for the price. I took a look at the ratchet, holy hell! It wasn't so much as a gear inside, it felt more like sand sloshing around inside metal. :wtf: I feel...

    Blast cabinet mask recommendation?

Sadly my new path in the field is basically telling old folks that they smoked their life away and have <6mo to live. Silicosis is going to happen more or less depending on exposure and bodies reaction to the particles being prevalent in the lung tissue. Typically you are looking at decent...

    Blast cabinet mask recommendation?

N95 is viral particle sized filter. As an RT, I would say you are fine with that as it is kind of the mask standard IMHO and you aren't dealing with vapors. I would suggest a sealed goggles if that dust is really spreading, corneal abrasions aren't fun.

    Fond Memories of Sears?

It's funny this thread popped up. My dad was a huge gear head back in the dad, who has long regaled us about his '66 Plymouth Sport Satellite with 383 and a supercharger. I was at his house (not uncommon) and went into the garage to use his grinding wheel to sharpen an axe. Scattered around were...

Avalanche of new Milwaukee cordless and hand tools. New Milwaukee combo wrenches

The M12 underhood light is one of the few things I haven't sourced yet. I was hoping for a Ridgid or Milwaukee version and was excited to see it. Then I shopped price. $200+ for something I found at Harbor Freight for $37 (plus I get 20% off that price). A little perturbed at that huge of a...

time for a new cordless drill

I love ridgid, but the scope of the tools is very limited. Their stuff hasn't disappointed me when it has been used. Just picked up the HD deal on the M12 drill/driver/battery and I am hoping for the 3/8 wrench for fathers day.

still fs55r trimmer carburetor adjustment setting question

By the time you get the manual, find parts you need replacing, get everything cleaned, new gasket, etc you could just spend the $20 for a new carb. Much easier. After fiddling with my Honda 190 I am done with putzing around with small engine carbs. $24 delivered and problem fixed itself, vs...

    Went mostly in on Tekton

I know GW sets have all 6-point sockets were as the husky stuff saddles you with 12 pointers. That alone makes GW>Husky.

    Good idea?Ryobi as tool investment

It's important to understand that ONLY the batteries that come with tools have the LSA. Makes it worth the extra cost to get the kit.

New Lithium Ion jump pack at Harbor Freight.

Quick question: could you leave this in the trunk of the car and not worry about temperature swings causing a problem. My wife constantly "accidently" hits her interior light and drains her battery. Not having to drive over and give her a jump would be swell.
