Much safer than our little town which apparently is the murder capital of Canada at about 6 deaths per 100K people, per year :-( The town is pretty small at about 123K.

That's a great idea and honestly should be part of every new build. I'd probably add a few CAT6 runs to corners in the attic for new builds as well to make it easier to install POE WIFI extenders, cameras etc.

That looks beautiful Drives :). Thanks for watching the video which is a bit of a time investment at 34 minutes! The puck magnets are each rated to 70 lbs, so more than enough to keep the table very secure (there are 8 of them!) even with the small gap between the tool cart steel and the...

@nicholam77, Nick, that video was literally crickets with regard to play count…but it sure look many hours to shoot and edit. I’m doing everything on the pro max 15 and now 17 in apple log/prores, doing colour matching using a SpyderChekr24 chart, blah, blah. I have two 32” calibrated monitors...

Ok, great to hear there is a small relay option for my older house circuits. I hear you on the LED thing. I’m playing around in my shop with 95+ CRI (which I know is definitely not the standard today) COB LED at 700 lumens per foot at 5000K and I don’t care about dimming..just reliable on/off...

Sharing Starlink Satellite Internet Access using TpLink Omada Mesh WiFi

This is an issue too at the resort I installed the system at. That system is still going strong, with more users added in to boot! The trailers are mostly clad in aluminum so each repeater is installed right at each host unit, outside, but with lots of windows. The fiberglass RVs tend to do...

Looks like you're really pushing the envelope! How have the sonoff relays been? Do they dim, and are there any issues with flickering using lower voltage LED lights when off? It's always nice to have options in an older home as most switches do not have neutral run to them :-( For those I've...

Luxury Vinyl Plank -> Work Table Build.

This is one of my favourite shop projects to date. I needed another tool cart for the shop, but I was also looking for a work table / filming platform that I could wheel around when required. The tool cart is a bit of a beast and will be in the shop until I'm too old to work in it anymore...

Now that's the idea :) On winter, we just got another 71 cm (over 2 feet!) or so of snow on the top side of Superior...we got a lot of snow this year.

Just dropped in to check your thread! I'm in the same size shop, 16x24 so can relate to the challenges of a smaller space. You did an insane amount of work on the insulation side, including your ceiling. That will pay off in Manitoba. The quality of this build is pretty much top notch..kudos!

Sub, just stopped in to see how things are going. Great to hear the kiddos are doing so well. That shot of your daughter? serving is pretty awesome. I've got one just entering university and another just leaving. They were just tykes when I started posting here! The maple syrup...sign me up!

That is a beast of a build!! With 16 foot ceilings one wonders what you'll be doing in there. I'm assuming hoists and trucks. With the upstairs access, I'd be going with your idea of a rear staircase and leaving the front open for a lift. Is it all storage up top or are you doing a...
