You're right, it seems like its more a plastic factory. Wonder if all the shafts come from the same place / are the same, or it's different depending on who they're making it for. Or maybe it's more a bring your own, and we slap a handle on, type deal.

Yea, that's what i was afraid of. I just figured since they were part of gedore maybe they were made in germany.

Yea, the economies are fairly similar, and prices on most things are pretty much the same, and yes, buying quality tools retail is incredibly expensive. We don't have harbor freight here, but we do have Biltema, which from my understanding is about the same, some ok stuff, but mostly ****...

From my experience, in industrial settings welds are usually never ground down, as it is a waste of time. Unless there's a good reason to do it, don't. My old welding teacher always said that only bad welders ground down their welds.
