2nd rShadd suggestion to go with 3m tape. Stuff works great. 1/2" is just right and run it vertical. Depending on the sign weight you may only need a several short strips at the corners. Also, this stuff will work on aluminum where the magnets won't. Bet someone will buy your magnets here.
