Use a front wheel clamp or (fab one up your self) like they have a dedicated motorcycle lifts you could bolt it to just one of the ramps. Though I like the hanging idea too

Some (Most good ones) Two post manufactures post their layout dims and or install manuals on their websites. I would use those for a good ball park of the size of their base plates. and then probably no more than a 3' x 3' area clear of pex for safety and changing your mind for each base plate...
