    Breaking loose a bolt. I use ...

If its a tight bolt I personally prefer 6 point in the proper size. Most of my sockets are 6 and wrenches are 12. Other than that heat, kroil, grinder, vise grips as an absolute last resort!

Recommend me a 3/8" breaker bar

Agreed! I have a long snappy 3/8 ratchet and if it don't come lose with that it's time for heavier duty options.

Would you trust buying a mechanic set on ebay?

IMHO you would be better off paying half price for Snappy and if you bail outta the program then you can ebay them get all if not more of your money back. The craftsman I have seen on Ebay is typically overpriced IMHO. YMMV

Need ideas for bit and tap storage

Employee problem for sure! As they say you can't fixx stupid! IMHO they are Un trained, stupid or lazy and anyof the above is bad for business. My method is just black tape around the corresponding tap and drill although I rarely use at work and at home I just figure it out with a tap drill...

I have a old set of gearwrenches i got for christmas when they first came out non reversible type. I have gotten 1 stuck and used the hell out of em. Non reversible wasnt an issue for me after I learned my lesson. FWIW a sawsall or wizz wheel makes quick work of the pesky bolt that teaches you...

    got broken into - padlocks?

I would not ensenuate that anyone pull a gun to protect their property. However if I decide to goto either of my garages in the middle of the night I have the right to carry a handgun. If I stumble into a B&E in progress I will defend myself if necessary.
