If its a tight bolt I personally prefer 6 point in the proper size. Most of my sockets are 6 and wrenches are 12. Other than that heat, kroil, grinder, vise grips as an absolute last resort!

Agreed! I have a long snappy 3/8 ratchet and if it don't come lose with that it's time for heavier duty options.

Machine shop at a vocational? We did all kinds of freebie projects like that. We charged for material and cutter use of course if we scrapped 2 to make it you paid for that too!

IMHO you would be better off paying half price for Snappy and if you bail outta the program then you can ebay them get all if not more of your money back. The craftsman I have seen on Ebay is typically overpriced IMHO. YMMV

I have the same set as my goto wrench set. I used them for years in the field breaking apart flanges on rusty pipes and just beating the **** out of em. They still work like a champ and hardly a mark only had one break I turned my back and one of the other guys had a box locked on an open end...
