Sealant for chimney piping exiting at the roof?

True, the OP might not ne comfortable at heights. And it might not work if you can’t work from the basket. It would depend on the size of the chase and various other factors. And it will cost $$, but it could be justified if it can accomplish other jobs around the property that have been put...

Sealant for chimney piping exiting at the roof?

Rent a 55’ extendable boom and fix it from the outside. While you have the boom maybe prune some trees too. That make the justification $$ a little easier. Regards, Jon h.

Should I replace my 30-year old campbell hausfeld air compressor?

Yep, some guy in Quebec 11 years ago had a tank fail and he was critically injured along with two other guys. It could have been worse. Air compressor failure. But who knows what condition the tank was in, how many times he repaired it etc…….You can buy a new tank and put your compressing...

Interior Steel Colors-Has anyone done anything other then white

I got it from the national war museum in my town during renovations. It was 1 of 4 panels as the real picture is bigger. It’s printed on a piece of 1/4” hardboard. I am a wwII history buff. That picture marks the 1st day of wwII. That’s all, it’s just a piece of history (famous picture). I’m...

Yard trimming season and the offset frustration has come home to roost.

It’s so nice walking up to the equipment in the spring, popping in a battery and squeezing the trigger and it works. I no longer have to walk up to the two stroke tools and pray to the ICE gods that they start. Of course I have the skills to get anything running but I no longer want to. It’s...

Yard trimming season and the offset frustration has come home to roost.

I have some Stihl pro line tools. They take the AP300s batteries. I have the self propelled mower, chainsaw and trimmer. I'll be getting the leaf blower and hedge trimmer this summer. I live on 2 1/4 acres and the tools have been great. The mower is for the ditches and other places my zero...

    Air lines

They can be moved and reused else where but you would have to get buy a plug for the hole you left behind. You can tap into the piping at any point with a drill bit and and a fitting. Jon h.

    Air lines

I ran a Teseo air system down the one side of the shop 10 years ago. It’s been great. Nice leak free fittings, aluminum piping (no rust). Easily expandable while assembled. From what I remember the 12’ lengths of piping weren’t expensive but the fittings were……I highly recommend it...

Help me settle a building renovation discussion with my family and keep us from killing ourselves in the process.

This was what I was thinking too…….jack a bit in the middle, pull in sides a bit, repeat until done. You have to get the negative deflection from roof ridge to be going in the opposite direction. At the same time as pulling in the sides.

    Balancing wheels with aluminum rims?

I’m now thinking that when this unit was new that’s how it worked. . The crank on mine doesn’t stay clocked together with the cup. I think I’ll buy a new crank with the corresponding crank so it’ll work like yours does Thanks, that solves my problem. Regards, Jon h.

    Balancing wheels with aluminum rims?

That looks like an option too. Or just buy a new cup that comes with a rubber piece. It looks like new ones do. I’ll measure my cup when I get home. Thanks for the help, the balancing world is new to me. For the price I couldn’t pass it up. Jon h.

    Balancing wheels with aluminum rims?

Yeah, it’s plastic but it’s pretty rough. The rim in the pic is a winter rim that I’m not concerned about but my other rims I don’t want scratched. A few grains of sand stuck on the face of the cup would leave some marks. Or are the cups not supposed to spin? Mine spins. I guess I could...
