    Solution for Lost Pocket Knives

Buck and Schrade both had a lost knife warranty. I know for a fact because I notarized an affidavit once for a lost one. My brother lost it, he still had the box and paperwork so since I was a notary he signed the affidavit he had lost it, and I notarized. Buck sent him a new one. When I bought...

    How to bury Cat6 cable?

then answer your own question, dig a proper trench, put it in conduit and be done with it. I soaked my front area, heavy clay, and my neighbor and I used a 2" trenching shovel to put in 45' of conduit 12" deep that took maybe 2 hours, and then pulled the cable in the conduit. Cat 6 direct burial...

old compressor that slows down 2hp

the Devilbiss made compressors I have both sport much larger pulleys on the compressor and 5hp motors (which are probably 2.5 or so in real life). You may need a larger pulley on the compressor or a smaller pulley on the motor. Also make sure you haven't wired the motor incorrectly to run on...

    Help! Wrench stuck

if you can't flip the small direction lever on the ratchet, you will have to sacrifice the ratchet and socket. I would try a 2x4 that is 3 or 4 feet long as a lever between the engine and what you call "wall" to see if I could get a little clearance. Then try to remove. Be careful what you pry...

    Headlight oxidation prevention

I did a study on this problem about 10 years ago. The #1 rated kit at lasting was Sylvania - Last time I will say it. I think Spar Varnish may be what is used in that kit as a sealer, it was one option people who had them last were using as a UV sealer. The cleaner in the kit that helps remove...

    Fuel Fumes from older vehicles...

and Tk06 brought it back to light. Lots of really old threads brought back to life here lately. Don't know what to make of it unless the site needs traffic, or the Chinese CCP are working on hacking the world.

    Cleaning stains off untreated concrete

have stains along a walkway and driveway into the garage. I think they are manganese dioxide stains from fertilizing. Some came off with H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) but some did not. I also hit them with vinegar. Next will be the pressure washer but I think they are in the concrete at this point...

    Fuel Fumes from older vehicles...

my collector car had a fuel odor all the time, then I replaced the fuel line with Gates Barricade and the smell went away. The older style fuel lines, even if new, lose quite a bit of vapor thru the rubber. Gates Barricade does not.

Rewiring sub panel for EV charger upgrade

Just upgrade to the 6ga and 1" conduit, then add the cost to your house basis. Hopefully the car and power are not financed, and were paid cash for. That is the only way to buy something that expensive. I've watched a few of my neighbors over the last few years trade their homes in on fancy...
