My underdstanding is that motor control switches are rated by HP and not current. If you look at the Leviton page for that switch, you can see that the 30A model is rated to 5hp on 240V

Pretty common around here. Seems Minto installed them in every house they built around here in the early 2000's...At least every one with a 200A service, which, granted, isn't a lot. Breakers are easier to find and half the price of the bolt-on breakers for my Cutler-Hammer Commander (QM/QL)...
