Excellent thank you for the help. And you're darn right that one shot is expensive. I tried my hand at pin-striping one time a few years ago never stuck with it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. My grandfathers old tool boxes and just about any thing he painted was that kinda green and his name stenciled in a goldish yellow. And that's what I was thinking of doing with the wilton bullet! I really appreciate the info I didn't know you...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

Hey I'm afraid I haven't seen your vise what color did you go with? And I was unaware that you could have a custom color made up this could be an option for me. Which product line was it from rustoleum and how has it held up for you? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello everyone I have a wilton power arm 301 I've made my own restore thread but a lot of the guys and gals on there told me to post here to try to get some more info on breaking this thing down properly. Not sure how old it is but the vice that came on it is an 88 so I assume it's about the...

Wilton 300 and powrarm 301 restore

Yea I think I'll keep it around for the time being, just need to figure out how to break it down so it can be lived and painted the handle is very hard to move, but does lock in place very good. Might try to finish the vise before I break into that though so I don't misplace any parts. That snap...

Ahh makes sense then! Any opinions on weather or not I should hold on to the powerarm after I'm done or should I flip it? Not sure if I'll use it enough to justify it. And then try to find a swivel base for mine. Hmm I dunno Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok small update rustoleum cust service finally got back to me after about 4 days of waiting. Wilton 300 and powrarm 301 restore

It was very helpful! I don't think I've ever belonged to a forum where the members were this involved especially with a new member. It's been a fun little treasure hunt. Gramps vise works flawlessly and I think i might give it a good cleaning but I don't think I'll be messing much more than that...

Wow bud I just opened that link to Blackburn tools from 1-4-1926 I just measured my jaws it appears to be a model number 370 and at a cost of 16$. Very cool to find! But who knows mine could be even older than that I wonder how early they started making the 370. Thank you for all the help!! My...

Carla thank you so much! I typed that into google and the same vice was about 5 pics down. The reason there's no marker on it, it appears they used stickers. Alittle silly but o well. I'm going to look up some more info on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You really think it's that old?! Wow I'm surprised. It was just something my gramps had kicking around his house. I will go post the pic on that thread now. I thought it might have been some piece of junk because of the no name. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Small update. I talked to wilton cust service yesterday afternoon, very helpful with the power arm. He emailed me an exploded diagram that shows how simple in interior is put together. Although not the best quality it'll do the trick. Also snapped some pics of that other vise, it's a good sized...
