    Garage Re-Organization....My Turn

The big box stores have white magnetic sheet material in the a/c duct work area. They are for putting over room vents to block off heat or ac. In my case, I had a large magnet from a vendor at work. I used a P-Touch with white sticky back material and black letters. On the largest font setting.

It's 2 AM ... do you know where your garage door is?

So - even after posting in this thread.... I did it. Went in to grab a bite and went to bed with the overhead door wide open. Found everything intact and nothing missing when I got up at 7. Later that day (Sunday), I order this Chamberlain Door Monitor from A...zon...

    Garage Re-Organization....My Turn

I have the same pair of HF 44s. I decided to print out labels on a labelmaker and stick them to a large piece of flexible magnet. Cut the magnets around the labels. Now I have small, but easy to read labels that can be moved. I stuck mine on the tops of the drawer pulls. Easy to read standing in...

It's 2 AM ... do you know where your garage door is?

I have a local garage door co coming out tomorrow to quote the Liftmaster 8550 with MyQ. I'm guessing around $400 installed. IF I can sell my 2 year old CMan and all gadgets (3 remotes, keypad, etc) I might go for it. We will see.

It's 2 AM ... do you know where your garage door is?

I started a project some time ago (yet to finish it), wherein I added a magnetic alarm sensor to my overhead. Tied that to my hard-wired alarm system. Acts like any other door with chime or alarm activation (depending on how programmed). Not a project for the uneducated on alarms, but doable...

What a mess ! Time to start my garage makeover. (lots of picts)

Took some time to work on my 16 gal beer can/bottle receptacle. Also dug out an old rotor to mount the little Wilton on. The hole in the center of the rotor is larger than my vice mount, so I think ill head to the pull-a-part to find an old flywheel.

Picked up the HF magnetic paper towel holder set today. $7.99 - 20%=sweet. Now, to figure out where to put them. The fridge is the likely spot. I also have a small cabinet for locksmith stock. Seem to be pretty powerful.

Took a break from the garage to finish up a deck extension and re-do. Pulled all of the old 2x6 treated decking off and replaced with ultra deck composite. Those hidden fasteners aren't as easy to install as they would have you believe. Now- a beer or three before bed and work in the AM...

    another 2 car "rearrange"

Welcome to the club ! I, too, am in the middle of a cleanout/rearrange. I'd also love to have one of the gallery/showroom garages here in GJ...but I doubt it will ever happen. Good luck with your garage and your projects ! Remember - any step forward is progress.

Harbor Freight Trailer - Experiences Please

Here is my HF folding 4x8 with the 12" wheels. Front 'gate' pulls out and slides into 2"x4" alum box tubing on the rear gate to form the ramp. I can pull my 3 wheeler all the way up to the coupler and pull the wife's 4 wheeler behind. Not recommended but works for me.

What a mess ! Time to start my garage makeover. (lots of picts)

Here is the (once) painted concrete floor I have now. Lots of oil, grease, juice, beer, etc spilled on it. I have been here since 1999 and never painted it. Several cracks but I think they have stopped. Nothing new noticed. Previous owner had is glossy gray. Amazing what brake fluid can...

Honda 3000 generator gone. CL does it again. I'm stuck near home and a PC this weekend for work so maybe I'll get the walls paint ready. I still need an affordable flooring solution. My wife's surgery bills just showed up so the budget is officially NILL. Thoughts?!

Harbor Freight Trailer - Experiences Please

I, too, have the HF 12" wheeled 4'x8' folding trailer. 3/4 ply floor and 5/4 deck board sides. I have regularly hauled a 3 wheeler and a 4 wheeler on it. It has hauled everything I have fit on it. Repack the bearings often. Works for me and the price was right. But - after the plywood, sides...

kitchen cabinets and drawers in your garage, good use of space?

I just pulled out the lower kitchen cabinets I had in my 2-car. I left the uppers. I replaced the lowers with 2 of the HF 44"/13 drawer chests. The kitchen lowers never really seemed to accommodate the stuff I needed to put in them. The drawers of the HF boxes suit me much better. Your mileage...
