    Lets see your workbench

I have two. The one at the back of the garage is made up of a solid oak zero panel door attached to repurposed kitchen base cabinets. It's decked w/masonite and a 2x4 back edge. My side wall workbench is a repurposed one. My neighbor had sitting outside for several years. I asked, he said you...

    Anti-Fatigue Floor Mats

I bought one at Costco two weeks go. 5'x2'x3/4" gray color. Don't recall the price. It feels good under foot and sweeps easily. I did not sense any odor when I laid it down and nothing now.

    craftsman fully assembled cabinets

How much cabinetry do you want/need for your garage? By the time you get those and then realize you need wall units, then a workbench, you've dropped 1K-1.5K. If you want everything to match, that will cost you. If you want things to look good and you are flexible, search Craigslist in your area...

Help me "decorate" a 10x10 waiting area

From a customer perspective if you insulate for A/C and heat, have a window that customers can see work being done on their car, and a range of reading materials for men and women along with comfortable single chairs you should have happy customers. Beverages and TV are nice also.

    Painting your workbench?

That's one hell of a nice and well built W/B. If you have or intend to have a paint theme in your garage it's something too consider. I did as you can see in the attached pics. Also, consider using 3/16 or 1/4 inch masonite for the top decking. It's durable, cleans easy and can be replaced after...

Vehicle Oil Changes: Are you a DIY'er?

My story is a real mixed bag. At age 68 I have done many oil changes on many different vehicles. Some on raw ground, some on gravel with cardboard and the car on ramps. Not until I bought my own home in '90 did I have a garage to work in. Even then it was a mixed bag. Some at home and some at...
