    Favorite Youtube Tool Channel

I mostly watch automotive diagnostic channels, but a furniture restoration channel had my interest for a while: Dashner Design & Restoration No nonsense, no music, no shilling. And he's very good at what he does.

Mowing your own yard and do you use gas or electric lawn equipment?

It's like a family photo. Dad, mom, & baby.

Above is the Bestarc "2nd generation" 50 Amp cutter. I tried it out on some sheet metal and it cut very nicely. Seems to be well built for $249. I suspect the pressure regulator adjustment knob will likely fail and leak soon, and have little confidence the complicated electronics will last...

Mowing your own yard and do you use gas or electric lawn equipment?

Robert42: "Imagine buying a 9" grinder, because if you're only gonna have one should be the biggest one, then realizing you could have done 99% of the work with a 4 1/2 or 6" grinder." Yeah, no doubt, but how does the saying go? "Better to have it and not need it than to not have it and need...

Mowing your own yard and do you use gas or electric lawn equipment?

Just my two cents about buying yard equipment: Pick what you think you might you need, then buy the next size (or two) up. For instance, I bought a Husqvarna 150bt backpack blower a few years ago. A fine, capable blower for my small yard. But it took me HOURS to dispatch leaves in the Fall...

    Show off your 10 milli's

I had no idea they sold "sets" of 10MM socket variations. Now that's clever! It, however, begs the question: Is an Impact 10MM socket really necessary? Don't we use a Hand Impact Driver for small frozen bolts so we don't snap 'em off?

Tool Nut Just sent out an Email with the new USA Milwaukee Pliers and Screwdrivers Pricing

What does "USA" mean, anymore? Assembled in USA? Wow. A Craftsman tool chest, for instance, will be made in China, then shipped to USA where people install the china-made wheels, and just that, I suspect, earns the "Assembled In USA...with domestic and foreign components" designation.

    Snap on toolbox worth $200?

The fact that the boxes lasted this long is a testament unto itself. One has to wonder how well all these HF boxes (or even the new Craftsman or Husky) with their fancy 100lb roller bearing drawers will hold up in another 10 or 20 years. If just the bottom rolling cabinet was for sale near me...

    Favorite Youtube Tool Channel

I avoid the "Tool Haul" videos because it's just a bunch of cheap china junk. Also, Eric at SMA is a top-notch mechanic, but his videos are over-edited into always making him the humble hero. Scanner Danner is one of my favorites.
