    I am also a non-welder so I designed an aluminum extrusion frame and ordered all the pieces pre-cut and machined for fasteners. The horizontal members are 1.5" tall so it doesn't add as much height as a 2x4 standing up. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8304207

    Modified my design and building as two separate frames so I can experiment with how far apart I want the boxes before I permanently mount them. Haven't bolted it to the wall yet, but here's an updated 3D model of what I'm planning.
