    Makita XWT14 VS DeWalt DCF921

Amen! It's good to see they moving on with LXT 9.0Ah and 12.0Ah packs, but they need to offer tabless cells in better form factors for the LXT range, along with dropping the pricing. With the XGT line, they are already moving that direction with the newest 4.0Ah & 8.0Ah tabless packs: Like...

    Makita XWT14 VS DeWalt DCF921

I'm heavy into the Makita LXT (18v) / XGT (40v), FLEX, Milwaukee (M12 only) and Hercules. I have a few odds from DeWalt (Grabbo x2, an older hammer drill and a new area light). I had trouble with my team yellow impacts about in the 2010's, but I know they made significant progress since them...

    Makita XWT14 VS DeWalt DCF921

I own a Makita XWT16 (3/8” version) and it’s awesome. Lightweight, balanced and powerful: I’m not a team yellow fan these days, but I’ve heard good things about the DCF921. My previous experiences with DeWalt impacts have been less than stellar, or I would have considered it. I like my...

    Tools of Japan

Thank you for confirming this. The Amazon reviews for this are awful and I've avoided it for that reason. This appears to be a re-brand? I associated Vessel with only top quality items so this isn't invited. :ROFLMAO:

    Howdy from DRPD!

He can answer this for you, but they had a huge sale on Keiba a few months back (I stocked up) and I don’t think they are restocking.

    Tools of Japan

Truecraft was a big importer of Japanese tools in the 80s&90’s from what I’ve gathered. I have a set a low use SAE ratcheting wrenches from them and these are great: OE was TOP tools Japan, good stuff. I’d hold onto those locking pliers too. 👍

Thank you. Love the black out look but that also means I may end up leaving this behind in dark working environment. Still looks like a nice, high quality little set.

+1. I was just talking about this and I want to purchase a good, long term set from Norseman. I have the big box store brands stuff (Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt) and a nice complete older USA set from my Dad, but it's time. What set would be your suggestion for daily light/med duty automotive...

Yup, $2000. As was discussed prior, these seem to never go on sale/clearance.

I seem to be at a point where I don't need any new tools for the first time I can recall.

Most people would call that behavior “reasonable” or perhaps even “rational”. On GJ…we call that “having a serious problem”.

I’m wondering if they are making room for this and other “modular” sets like it later in the year?
